This week’s #MySexySaturday ‘s theme is Late Summer Sexy. Since Jared will be out tomorrow on Amazon and the characters first date kind of fit in the theme, I chose an excerpt from that book. You can find it here http://www.amazon.com/Jared-Whitedell-Pride-Book-11-ebook/dp/B0137WBOQ6/ref=asap_bc?ie=UTF8
When he turned around Chogan was there, a little too close for Jared to be comfortable. But when he held out his hand, Jared grabbed it, grateful for the fact that he had dried it just seconds before. Chogan’s hand was larger than his, rougher, and Jared shivered at the feeling of having his hand enclosed in Chogan’s, of the calluses rasping on his own smoother skin.
“So, where do we go?”
“In the park. There’s still a lot of people around, but it should calm down in a bit, and I know a spot that’s quiet.” He was lucky Adrian had told him where they had gone when they’d talked about Adrian’s first date with Joshua.
Jared guided Chogan toward the pond in the back of the park. He spotted the fallen tree log Adrian had told him about and walked to it, putting the basket down and letting Chogan’s hand go. He took the blanket from where it was resting on top of the basket and opened it wide, arranging it carefully on the grass.
The moon was reflected on the water, the stars were bright and the air smelled of summer and water. The early evening was perfect, but it didn’t make Jared less nervous, especially once they settled down on the blanket, side by side. He didn’t know what to do with his hands or what to say, and it made him feel foolish. He laid his hands on his thighs and looked at them, wanting to reach out for Chogan but not having the guts to do it.
They stayed silent for a while, and Jared could see it wasn’t working. He had thought that the fact that Chogan was his mate would make everything so much easier than the past relationships he had had, but it didn’t make a difference. Sure, he felt drawn to Chogan, he wanted to grab the man and pull him on top of him, kiss him and trace his tattoos with his tongue. He wanted to claim Chogan, but that couldn’t be all there was between them. He needed to know his mate before he could even think of claiming him, and it would take a while if neither of them talked.
Jared was so concentrated on his thoughts that he didn’t see Chogan moving until Chogan was straddling his thighs and leaning into him.
The first books in the Whitedell Pride Series are available on Amazon and on Extasy Books.
